Community Fireworks Displays

Northwest Iowa — Independence Day is a day we celebrate our freedom and the cost of that freedom.

Many people will gather to watch firework displays all over the country. Below is a list of community fireworks displays in northwest Iowa:

On Saturday, July 1st, Melvin will have a fireworks display Saturday. Their celebration begins at 7 p.m. and is put on by the Melvin 313 Club. George will also have their fireworks show Saturday night.

On Monday, July 3rd, Sheldon will have a fireworks display that is put on by Village Northwest Unlimited at the end of their Independence Day Celebration that will begin at 5 p.m. There will also be a display over Big Spirit Lake in Spirit Lake.

On Tuesday, July 4th, Sioux Center will have a 4th of July fireworks show at 10 p.m., which will take place in the open area northeast of Mouw Motors and Ver Hoef Automotive. West Lake Okoboji and Inwood will also have their displays on the same day.

No matter where you are celebrating from, KIWA wants to wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day.
