COVID-19 Spike Causes Arnolds Park Attractions To Close Temporarily

Arnolds Park, Iowa — Due to a spike in cases of COVID-19 in Dickinson County, several attractions at Historic Arnolds Park will temporarily close, beginning this Saturday, June 13th.

According to a press release from Arnolds Park, the recent trend in local cases means it is important to follow guidelines established by our healthcare community to social distance and maintain proper precautions such as hand washing and sanitizing.

The release goes on to say, “As a local business, we have an obligation to this community to provide a safe environment for our guests and our staff, therefore we will be closing the Park, Museums, and The Queen II temporarily starting Saturday, June 13th. We want to assure the community that we have had no cases of COVID-19 in our organization, but our number one priority at all times is safety.  We hope to do our part now and slow the spread in this community so that we can come back together later on and enjoy a great summer season.”

No exact date for reopening the park is scheduled, but the release says they will reopen, “when it’s safe to do so.”
