UPDATE: Crossroads Pavilion Board & City Council To Meet Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will hold a joint workshop with representatives of the Crossroads Pavilion Board Wednesday April 11th, at 7:00 am.  It was decided at the recent City Council meeting that such a meeting would be the best way to discuss the possibility of hiring an additional full-time employee at the event center.  Should the Council decide, after meeting with the Crossroads Pavilion Board, that they are ready to take a vote on the proposed hiring, they’ll meet in special session with the lone agenda item being discussion of a 2nd full-time employee for the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center. Wednesday morning’s meetings will be held in Council Chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center.

Then Wednesday evening, the Crossroads Pavilion Board will meet in regular session at 6:00 p.m. in the Sherwood Boardroom at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center.

Items of old business to review consist of the calendar of confirmed bookings as well as an update from the Special Entertainment Committee and Friends of the Pavilion.

New business on the agenda for consideration and possible approval include discussion and possible approval of special entertainment payment, an update on the hiring of an additional employee, and discussion on the annual evaluation of the General Manager.

Wednesday’s regular April meeting of the Crossroads Pavilion Board will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Sherwood Boardroom at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center.
