Clay County, Iowa — A South Dakota woman is dead, and Clay County authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies responded to a location in the southwestern part of the county, to the report of an unresponsive female. Authorities say deputies and first responders arrived at the scene and discovered the body of 30-year old Casey Blaine Eleeson, of Huron, South Dakota, in a camper on the property.
Authorities say that, during their investigation, 43-year old Robert Ryker, of Spencer, was allegedly found to be in possession of what deputies believe to be methamphetamine and marijuana. Sheriff’s officials say Ryker was arrested for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Authorities say the circumstances surrounding Eleeson’s death are still under investigation.
