Fireworks — Find Out What’s Legal In Your Town

Northwest Iowa — With July 4th creeping up on us KIWA wants to remind everyone to have a safe holiday and follow their city ordinances to make sure that everyone has a happy holiday.

To review the city ordinances for each town simply click on the name of the community:

City of Sheldon

City of Archer – No City Ordinance – Follow State Law.

City of Ashton – No City Ordinance – Follow State Law.

City of Boyden – Fireworks can be shot off between July 1st and July 7th from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., but on July 4th they can be shot off until 11 p.m.

City of Harris – No City Ordinance. Follow State Law.

City of Hartley

City of Hospers – Fireworks are able to be shot off between June 30th and July 8th from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. On July 4th, Saturdays, and Sundays they can be shot off until 11 p.m.

City of Hawarden – Fireworks can be shot off between June 28th and July 4th from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. On July 4th they can be shot off until 11 p.m.

City of Hull – Shooting of fireworks can happen between July 1st and July 8th from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. On July 4th, Saturday, and Sunday they can be shot off until 11 p.m.

City of Ireton – Fireworks are able to be shot off between June 28th and July 8th from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m., on July 4th until 11 p.m.

City of Maurice – Shooting off fireworks can happen between June 28th and July 8th from 12 p.m. until 11 p.m.

City of Melvin – No City Ordinance. Follow State Law.

City of Ocheyedan – Fireworks can be shot off between Jun 29th and July 5th from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m., but on July 4th they can be shot off until 11 p.m.

City of Orange City

City of Paullina

City of Rock Rapids

City of Rock Valley

City of Sanborn

City of Sibley

City of Sioux Center
