Sheldon, Iowa — Five members of the Sheldon Dance Team have earned spots on the 2017 All-Iowa Honor Dance Team that will perform at half-time of the Class 3A Girls State Basketball Tournament championship game Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The 3A Championship game is set to begin at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 5th.
Orab seniors Bryn Groff, and Kelsey Van Drie, juniors Alexa Vanden Hull, and Madison Uhl, along with freshman Hannah Uhl will join 219 other girls representing 86 schools from around the state of Iowa for Saturday’s performance.
Auditions for the All-Iowa Honor Dance Team were held in Ames this past fall, and the dancers were judged on ability, attitude, dedication, and leadership qualities. After just hours of practice together, the team annually puts on a show that is nationally recognized as one of the finest of its kind.
