Sheldon, Iowa — This Thursday, March 29th, is National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
This special day was added to our National Commemorations when the president signed into law the Vietnam Veterans War Recognition act of 2017.
While we honor our war dead on Memorial Day, and our living during Veterans Day, National Vietnam Veterans Day is a special time when we give special tribute to those who served during the Vietnam War.
For many Vietnam Veterans, it’s the recognition they deserved and should have received when they returned home from the war, but many did not.
These brave men defended our flag with honor. They supported democracy, fighting in brutal conditions to preserve our way of life.
To all the Vietnam veterans, KIWA says, “Thank you for your service!!”
