King Visits Area

Steve King OfficialSheldon, Iowa — Iowa 4th District United States Congressman Steve King stopped at the KIWA Studios on a swing through northwest Iowa Monday afternoon.

One of the subjects we discussed is the issue of illegal immigration, and the effect it has had on Presidential politics in the run-up to the 2016 election cycle. King says that, while some Presidential candidates say they favor a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who “haven’t committed a crime”, simply entering the country illegally is a crime.

The subject of our conversation turned to the Republican presidential hopefuls in general, and Donald Trump in particular.  King says he finds it interesting that the things Trump says that have the experts writing off his campaign, only seem to serve to make him stronger.

King talked about the so-called Washington experts, and something he had read recently.

Congressman King was in northwest Iowa to attend an Osceola County Republican event Monday evvening.
