Little Rock Corn Show Opens Wednesday

Little Rock, Iowa — It’s time for the final celebration of the Summer in Lyon County — the Little Rock Corn Show.

The festivities start on Wednesday night with a cruise night and Pork Producers’ feed under the tent.

Then on Thursday, the crops and produce can be entered for the contests.

Friday’s activities include the Little Rock Queen Contest.

Saturday is the big day. A bike ride and a walk are planned. They’ll have a pedal pull for kids, the Golf Ball Roll, a parade at 2 p.m., or at 5 p.m. if it rains. Entertainment under the tent starts at 5:45.

Sunay will see an Omlet and German Pancake Brunch at City Hall, Joint Church Services under the tent, a Show & Shine Car Show, and a Bean Bag Tournament.

Of course all kinds of food will be available, and the best carnival of the year in Lyon County, McDermott Shows, on Main Street on Friday evening and Saturday. Plus, there are also commercial exhibit booths in the Town & Country building, across from the grocery store, and more activities that you’ve come to associate with the Corn Show.
