Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon pastor, who has served his congregation for more than forty years, is retiring.
Pastor Ken Snyder of Parkview Assembly of God Church in Sheldon preached his last regular Sunday sermon this past weekend, and will be officially retired this Wednesday evening.
Pastor Ken appeared on the KIWA Morning Show with Wayne and Aaron Tuesday morning, and was asked about his plans for retirement.
He says the Parkview Assembly of God congregation held a Retirement Party for him Sunday.
Pastor Ken says he has served Parkview Assembly of God as their Pastor for the past 17 years, following a stint as Youth Pastor.
Snyder and his wife, LuAnn, have purchased a home in Sheldon, and intend to continue living in the community.
