Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation (SCDC) is making an offer that’s hard to pass up if you’ve got the resources to do it.
Sheldon Development Executive Director Curt Strouth says they’re offering housing lots for duplexes in the Sheldon Crossing area for ONE DOLLAR each, plus, when construction is complete, they’ll pay you $10,000. He tells us there are a few stipulations.
He says it doesn’t last forever, and it’s only for those seven lots. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. But it averages out to about $44,000 in savings per lot. Strouth tells us that developers will be able to purchase up to two lots initially.
He says the incentive program is a stand-alone program, meaning you can’t piggyback it with any other local or statewide incentives.
