Macmain Faces More Charges

Spencer, Iowa — An Ashton woman who has been accused of, and pled guilty to, forgery charges in numerous northern Iowa counties now faces a slew of charges in Clay County.

Clay County authorities say they served 8 arrest warrants on 24-year old Nikarra Macmain Thursday afternoon at the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar.  Clay County officials say they then transported her to the Clay County Jail in Spencer on 6 charges of Forgery/Identity Theft, 5th Degree Theft, and 2nd Degree Theft.

Clay County Sheriff’s authorities say Macmain was jailed in lieu of $35,300 bond.

Macmain has also faced similar charges in O’Brien, Palo Alto, and Harrison counties.  Those charges stemmed from incidents in which stolen checks were passed at various businesses in those counties.  Macmain has appeared in court on most of the previous charges, and has pled guilty to a number of those previous charges.
