Sheldon, Iowa — If you were one of the people that purchased Sheldon Merry Money on November 7th — here’s a reminder — it’s only good until December 24th.
The Chamber’s Michele Honkomp tells us that Sheldon merchants and the Sheldon Marketing Committee make Merry Money possible.
She says that 41 Sheldon businesses are accepting Merry Money this year. She says that’s most of the downtown businesses and some in other parts of town too.
Honkomp says that due to the way the program works, she advises spending Merry Money wisely.
And Sheldon Chamber Director Shanelle Matus reminds us it DOES have an expiration date.
The Sheldon Chamber reports that $125,310 worth of Merry Money was purchased this year, and at last report, over half of it — almost $64,000 had yet to be spent.
