Might Be A Good Idea To Scout For Soybean Cyst Nematode

Northwest Iowa — When farmers eventually get back into their fields this fall, they will undoubtedly be doing some soil sampling. An expert is suggesting that they take an extra sample of their soybean fields for soybean cyst nematode.

Experts tell us soybean cyst nematodes are becoming resistant. Dr. Greg Tylka says these little pests are becoming a problem once again.


Tylka says the potential for yield damage is significant.


Tylka says sampling for nematodes is like soil fertility sampling.
