More Snow Thursday

Northwest Iowa — Light snow will develop after daybreak Thursday, and may last for much of the daytime hours.

This prolonged light snow event won’t bring much in the way of accumulations, with most areas seeing a dusting to upwards of 2″ of snow. However, it could still create travel impacts for the region through the day.

Bitterly cold temperatures continue through the middle of the week, with dangerously cold wind chills through noon Wednesday. A gradual warmup begins Thursday, but also brings a chance for snow during the day on Thursday. Amounts will stay light in nature, with totals in most places between a dusting and 1 inch. Temperatures rise above freezing for the upcoming weekend.
