Clouds will be more abundant today than in previous days, but the cool mid-summer weather continues, with highs hovering around 80. A cold front with thunderstorms and rain showers moves in from the west this evening, and a few storms could be strong. Thunderstorms will weaken overnight, with scattered rain showers reaching the I-29 corridor & eastward Monday. Besides a few storms & showers Tue night, the rest of the week looks cool and dry for most.
A few strong storms are possible this evening and during the early overnight hours. The main risks in any severe storm today will be frequent lightning, large hail, and damaging winds. Heavy rain is also possible under thunderstorm cores.
