NWS: More Winter Weather Headed Our Way, Then Subzero Temps

Northwest Iowa — Sounds like we’re going to get some snow again, followed by a trip into the deep freeze.

Meteorologist Samantha Trellinger with the Sioux Falls Office of the National Weather Service tells us about it.

She says drifting and visibility will be issues as well, making travel difficult to impossible.

Trellinger tells us that the precip should stop and winds should die down by Saturday late afternoon and evening. But then our trip into the deep freeze is going to start.

She says those cold temps and windchills in the teens below to 20s below zero will stick around for a few days too, not releasing their grip on the area until the middle of next week.
