O’Brien County Gets Grant To Bring Bloggers To County

Primghar, Iowa — A new way of promoting O’Brien County has been devised, and is about to start.

O’Brien County Economic Development Director Kiana Johnson tells us about a grant to get bloggers and vloggers to come to the county.

“Blog” is a word that comes from “web log,” a regularly updated website or web page that is written in an informal or conversational style. Its counterpart, “vlog” is short for “video log,” which is basically the same thing, but in video format. The verb forms are “blogging” and “vlogging.”

Johnson tells us how the tourism committee feels about the new opportunity.
