Pet Grooming Again Available At Sheldon Vet Clinic

Sheldon, Iowa — A Hull native has returned to northwest Iowa after attending school in Medina, Ohio, and is now grooming dogs in Sheldon.

April Bonestroo is now putting what the learned in Ohio to good use as a dog groomer at Sheldon Veterinary Medical Center.

Dr.  Sandy Schmith of Sheldon Veterinary Medical Center says, for now, pet grooming is available three days each week.

Dr. Schmith says you can get an appointment for your pet’s grooming by picking up the phone.

Schmith says that, until Bonestroo came to work there, Sheldon Veterinary Medical Center had been without a groomer for several months.

For her part, Bonestroo says a love of animals led her to her chosen field, and she’s really enjoying it. She says she’s getting booked up for the three days a week she’s grooming, and hopes to be able to offer her services full-time in the near future.

She says her ultimate career goal is to open her own grooming business, but for the next few years she says she’s happy to be plying her trade at Sheldon Veterinary Medical Center.
