Premier Communications Customers Advised Of Possible Scam

Rock Valley, Iowa — A communications provider that serves many people in northwest Iowa is reporting a scam in their service territory and reminding people to be wary.

Premier Communications spokesperson Scott Te Strote tells us about it.

He says they appreciated their customers giving them a call about it. According to Te Strote, that’s not the way Premier Communications does business.

Te Strote says they believe the individuals were trying to sell a service, but he says it could have been a scam to steal private information as well. Experts tell us if you ever question whether someone is from the company they claim to be with, a good starting point is to look up the office number on your bill or in the phone book and call to see if they are really who they say they are.
