Rock For Ukraine Event Raises More Than $6,000

Arnolds Park, Iowa — The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has announced that their “Rock for Ukraine” event held last week in Arnolds Park has raised more than $6,000 for the group Arise Ukraine.

The Rock for Ukraine event was held in the Roof Garden Ballroom on Monday, April 11th.  According to organizers, several Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame Inductees from some of the most popular regional bands shared the Roof Garden stage for a great evening to raise funds to assist the people of Ukraine.

All proceeds from the event are going to Arise Ukraine, a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian missionary group based out of Sioux Falls, who have been delivering food and supplies directly to the people of Ukraine. The mission reports that they may do something “significant” with these funds such as using them for mobile food delivery, or maybe even drilling a well to provide fresh water.

Organizers of the event say if you were unable to attend, but would still like to donate, you call the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll museum Tuesday-Saturday at 712-330-0889, or stop by the museum at 243 West Broadway in Arnolds Park for more information.
