Sanborn, Iowa — The Sanborn Ambulance and Fire Departments have embarked on a new public safety initiative, called the Yellow Dot Program. The program assists citizens in the “golden hour” of emergency care following a traffic accident when they may not be able to communicate with first responders.
Sanborn Ambulance Director Paul Schuler tells us about the Yellow Dot Program.
He explains how the Yellow Dot Program works.
Schuler says the information on the card, coupled with the yellow dot on your rear window, can help to save your life.
He says the yellow card could be important in situations other than traffic crashes.
He says if you’d like to sign up, you can visit the Sanborn City Hall.
