Sheldon, Iowa – A rite of spring begins this Monday, June 1st in Sheldon. The Sheldon Farmer’s Market’s season begins, bringing local gardeners and others together with people who have been waiting patiently for the first produce of the year.
Sheldon Chamber Director Trista Kavanagh tells us the Farmer’s Market starts June 1st, and runs each Monday through Labor Day.
Kavanagh says that, while the name Farmer’s Market brings fresh produce to mind, there’s normally a lot more available than just veggies.
The Sheldon Farmer’s Market is open each Monday throughout the summer, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, and is housed in the old train depot building on Business 60 south in Sheldon.
