Hartley, Iowa — The Hartley Summerfest is underway. The theme this year is “Stars, Stripes, and Small Town Nights.”
Activities this Saturday include an all-school reunion coffee, a parade, a car cruise-in, kids’ corner activities, a pedal pull, baby races, the H-Town Games obstacle course, and both “bags” (that’s Cornhole) and sand volleyball tournaments. There will also be museum tours and a concert in the park featuring live music.
Then, on Sunday, there’s a community worship service, an omelet breakfast fundraiser, a best ball golf tournament, and free public swimming at the city pool.
