Sheldon Fire Company Called To Downtown Trash Fire

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon firefighters were called out late yesterday (Sunday) morning to a fire in the alley behind Evie’s Hallmark in downtown Sheldon.

Firefighters reported heavy smoke as they left the firehouse, enroute to the reported blaze.  Assistant Fire Chief Randy Harms says the fire was a trash fire in the alley behind the store, and the blaze was quickly extinguished.  Harms says fire crews were on scene for less than half an hour.
