Sheldon Fire Company’s New Truck Is Here

Sheldon, Iowa – The Sheldon Fire Company took delivery of a new rig recently, in the form of a new tanker truck. Fire Chief Brad Hindt tells us more.

Hindt talks about where the money came from to purchase the nearly half-million dollar rig.

Hindt says the department’s old tanker truck will still be part of the Fire Department’s fleet.

The Sheldon Fire Company has barely enough room for their normal contingent of trucks, but has found a temporary solution to housing their fleet.

The Chief says the truck was actually delivered ahead of schedule.

Hindt says the truck had to be outfitted with various items before being placed into service.

He says anyone who wants to take a look at the new tanker truck should feel free to stop by whenever the department’s doors are open.
