Sheldon High School Dance Team Preparing For Competitions

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon High School Dance Team are working hard for competitions that are coming up.

Georgia Walker, the dance team coach, says this year there are 17 girls on the dance team and 13 are on the varsity team. She says that the leadership they have this year is amazing and all the girls work hard at practices, even though they tend to be at six in the morning.

Walker says that right now they are focusing on working on their State Dance routine.

Walker says that with all the practice and preparing they expect great results at State.

Walker adds how proud she is of the Dance Team.

On November 14th the Dance Team will be performing at the Central Lyon Showcase. Then on November 30th they will leave for Des Moines for the State Dance Competition. The Sheldon Dance Team will perform at the State Dance Competition on December 1st.
