Sheldon, Iowa — The Christmas season is right around the corner. That means the time is now to check out what Sheldon merchants have to offer. And you can do that, cash in on some bargains, and maybe even grab some holiday treats while you’re at it this weekend.
Sheldon Chamber Director Shantel Oostra tells us the Holiday Open Houses are underway at participating merchants.
(as said:)”They will be running from today until Saturday and then we have some businesses that will still be running their open houses on Monday again as well. All of the retailers will be offering different promotions and discounts in their stores. So you’ll want to be sure to check their Facebook page or just pop into the store and see what they have going on and lots of goodies and treats to try while you’re in the store as well. “
She gives us a sneak-peak of some other holiday promotions and events coming up in Sheldon.
(as said:)”Saturday, November 28 — that is small business Saturday — so again, we want to just make sure that we’re out and about and supporting our local businesses here in Sheldon. And also that evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. we will be having our first-ever Holiday Parade of Lights and that will run through our downtown area. And then on Saturday, December 5 we’ll be having Merry Little Christmas Party at the campus of the Prairie Arts Council with some fun things going on there. So keep your eyes and ears open for the details on that.”
Again, Holiday Open Houses continue at Sheldon merchants this weekend — with some of them continuing into Monday.
