Sheldon Native Speaks At Career Day

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon native who has written a book for high schoolers entitled, That College Book, was the lunch speaker at an O’Brien County Career Day held Friday in Sheldon.

Timothy Snyder stopped by the KIWA Morning Show Friday morning, and talked a bit bout his book which is billed as, “everything nobody told us about life after high school.” One part of the book is titled To Go To College Or Not Go To College, and Snyder advises that, unless you want to enter a profession that requires a four-year degree, there are plenty of jobs that DON’T, at which you can still make a pretty good living.

He says it can be scary when you’re coming toward the end of your formal education and your well-laid plans fall apart.

Snyder told us he was excited about speaking to the group of high school sophomores during Career Day.

He says he is currently working on another book, which will be a work of fiction. Snyder currently lives in the Minneapolis area, and is the son of Pastor Ken and LuAnn Snyder of Sheldon.
