Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education will hold their regular May meeting Wednesday (May 8th).
Among the items on the agenda for this meeting is a report by Superintendent Cory Myer on his attendance at Iowa’s Future Ready Summit. Myer is also scheduled to update the board on the district’s use of online, as well as in-person registration for school for the 2019-2020 school year. The Superintendent is also expected to inform the board that he has been approached by Village Northwest Unlimited about the creation of a couple of Bocce courts at the Sports Complex along Highway 18.
In other action, the board will consider a proposal for Tiered Diplomas, set school meal prices for the 2019-2020 school year, discuss a resolution for a Concussion Protocol for student-athletes, and designate the John and Irene Bowers Scholarship recipients for this year.
The board is also expected to hold a closed session for the purpose of a Superintendent Evaluation.
The May meeting of the Sheldon Community Schools Board will begin at 5:00 Wednesday afternoon in the High School Library.
