Sheldon Schools Interview, Hire New Business Manager

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community School District will have a new Business Manager/Board Secretary when the new fiscal year begins July 1st.

The District is hiring someone to replace current Business Manager/Board Secretary LaDonn Hatzell, who will be retiring at the end of June. For the past several weeks the District has conducted a search for Hartzell’s replacement. Sheldon Superintendent Cory Myer tells KIWA the District is disappointed to see Hartzell retire, but had several quality individuals apply for her position.

Myer says they were able to narrow the applicant field to four finalists.

He says the four finalists were interviewed yesterday (Tuesday, April 10th).

Myer says they were able to narrow the field of four down to one after yesterday’s finalist interviews.

Myer says Tracy Meyer of Sheldon was offered the position, and has verbally accepted. He says her name will be presented to the School Board at their regular meeting tonight for their final approval.
