Sheldon, Iowa — The City of Sheldon’s Water Department will be flushing water mains later this week, which could mean discoloration of the water coming from your tap.
City officials say they’ll begin flushing the water mains at 11:00 o’clock this Thursday night (September 24th) and continue until 6:00 Friday morning (September 25th).
Officials say the water main flushing may cause some discoloration in the water coming from your tap during and after the flushing process. As a result, the City of Sheldon urges caution when washing whites or delicates.
Again, the water main flushing in Sheldon will take place between 11:00 pm Thursday and 6:00 am Friday.
