Sheldon United Fund Up, Still Needs Help

Sheldon, Iowa — Donations to the 2018 Sheldon United Fund are up this week but are still behind.

The drive continues through the rest of the year. The goal this year is $31,000.

The fund drive is now 77% finished, with just 21 days to go. The funds are at about 65% of goal, at $20,160. Over $10,500 has yet to be raised in three weeks. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average about $3600 per week through the rest of the year. In the last week, donors gave $2575.

Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at any of the four Sheldon banks, or you can also send them to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. Explanations of the organizations are also available at the banks.

Each week we’re mentioning a few of the organizations that can benefit from your donations. This time the list includes:

·Noah’s Ark Preschool
·Rise Ministries
·Excellence For East
·Sheldon Ministerial Association

The United Fund will be assisting 21 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and the board members thank the businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their continued support.
