West of Hospers, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office has noticed people driving in the construction zone of B40 west of Hospers. They tell us people are not to drive in that zone yet.
They posted recently that 400th Street (B40) remains closed between Jackson Avenue and Hospers.
Officials say they have noticed an increase in traffic within the construction zone, and the statement goes on to say, “Please obey all road closure signs and use an alternate route. The roadway is not yet complete, and important shoulder work and pavement markings still need to be finished.”
For the safety of the construction crews and the traveling public, they ask motorists to stay out of the work area and follow the posted detours.
The statement also thanks people for their cooperation and patience.
