Spirit Lake, Iowa — A Spirit Lake woman plans to run for Iowa House District 1 as a Democrat. That’s the district that covers Lyon and Osceola Counties and the northern two-thirds of Dickinson County, and is held currently by Republican John Wills.
Dr. Karen A. Larson, who has her Ph.D., tells us why she decided to “throw her hat into the ring.”
We asked Larson what made her decide to run as a Democrat.
She tells us the issues that are important to her.
