Thanksgiving Warming Trend

A cooler day will greet us on this Monday, with high temperatures in the 20s. Those of you loving mild weather will be happy to hear the cool-down is brief, though, as readings slowly warm toward the 40s and 50s by Thanksgiving Day and Friday. Cooler air will return for the latter half of the holiday weekend, possibly accompanied by spotty snow chances.

Do your travel plans take you within a 6 hour drive from the Sioux Falls area later this week? The travel period will begin on a high note, with dry and mild conditions through Thanksgiving Day. Areas of rain could impact travel across Iowa and Minnesota on Friday, but temperatures remain warm. Uncertainty in travel conditions grows through the weekend, as colder air pushes south, and weak systems could bring chances for snow to differing parts of the region.
