Sheldon, Iowa — Kirk Cameron of TV fame will be in Sheldon on Friday night (February 28th). You may remember Cameron from when he played teenager Mike Seaver on the sitcom “Growing Pains.”
Matt Hammitt, formerly of Sanctus Real will join him for his talk about marriage and family at the Crossroads Pavilion at 7 p.m.
We had a chance to talk to Katricia Meendering, the manager of the Crossroads Pavilion, and she tells us about the event.
Meendering says Cameron is using his fame in a way that draws people to hear his Christian message. She says in addition to “Growing Pains,” some people know him from the Left Behind movie series and the movie “Fireproof.”
Meendering gives us some ticket details.
She says tickets will be available at the door as long as the event is not sold out. That website again is echoconcerts.com.
According to Meendering, she’s glad they’re coming to Sheldon.
She says it’s something new for the Crossroads Pavilion facility.
Meendering says she’s looking forward to showing people how they can handle an event such as this.
