Sheldon, Iowa — While the Sheldon United Fund didn’t meet the goal this time, the last week of giving was very strong.
The goal this year was $31,000. The funds ended up at about 97% of goal, at $30,094, less than $1000 short. In the last week, donors gave $6,428.
The United Fund will be assisting 25 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year. Cindy Runger with the United Fund says, “Thank you very much to the community for their generous support.” She says that the board greatly appreciates it.
