Weekend Features A Few Events Leading Up To Sioux Fair

Sioux Center, Iowa — The 2018 Sioux County Youth Fair officially gets underway this coming Tuesday, July 10th, but there are a few preliminary events scheduled for this weekend.

Tonight (Friday, July 6th), from 9 to midnight, is the Sioux County Youth Fair Dance, for ages 14 to 20, hosted by the County Youth Council.

Saturday, the Open House begins at 9:00 am, with the Fair Board Concessions Fundraiser running from 10:30 to 1:30. The final event on Saturday’s Sioux County Youth Fair schedule is the Open Beef Show, which gets underway Saturday at noon.

Sunday morning at 9:00 is the time for the Open Horse Show. The Open Sheep Show takes place Sunday afternoon at 3:00, with the Queen and Little Miss Coronation starting at 5:30 Sunday evening.

The lone event on the schedule for Monday is the Open Class Non-Food & ArtAbility Exhibits Entry from 6:00 to 7:00 Monday evening.

The Sioux County Youth Fair begins in earnest Tuesday morning, and runs through July 16th, at the Fairgrounds in Sioux Center.
