Clouds will become increasingly soggy as we move through the day today, with active weather expected to continue into middle of next week. While it will not rain ALL the time, periods of rainfall through early Wednesday will bring average amounts across the area to around 1 to 3 inches, with some locally higher amounts favored across northwest Iowa. This may once again lead to issues with ponding of water in fields and rises on area streams and rivers. By Wednesday, rain should come to an end, although cooler temperatures will stick around.
