Arnolds Park, Iowa (RI) — The Iowa Great Lakes area will host the 2026 Iowa Water Conference next week, a two-day gathering focused on helping attendees connect, learn, and seek solutions on issues affecting Iowa’s waterways.
Iowa Water Center director Rick Cruse says this year’s theme is “Life Depends on Water. Water Depends on You.”
The 20th annual conference will be held September 16th and 17th in Arnolds Park along Lake Okoboji. Cruse says breakout sessions and panel discussions will cover a wide range of water-related topics.
Other sessions will focus on water recreation and tourism, fisheries, wildlife, and aquatic ecosystem health. Cruse says the conference will also feature two pre-conference tours of the Iowa Great Lakes.
Cruse says this is the first time the Iowa Water Conference will be held in the Iowa Great Lakes region.
More information is available through the Iowa Water Center’s conference page.
