(Community First Broadcasting Staff Photo)Spencer, Iowa — Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is marking a major milestone this month, and they’re inviting the whole community out to celebrate.
It’s been ten years since Seasons Center’s “Autumn’s Center” first opened its doors in 2016 to offer specialized, trauma-informed care and mental health support for children and families across Northwest Iowa. The center supports youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, grief, bullying, or mental health challenges, providing a safe and welcoming environment where children and families can find support, healing, and hope. To celebrate a decade of healing, hope, and connection, Seasons Center is hosting a free, family-friendly Kids’ Carnival on Thursday afternoon, September 24th. The fun runs from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Sunset Park in Spencer.
Families can look forward to classic carnival games, prizes, inflatables, and face painting—and the event is open to everyone. Stephanie Pohar with Seasons Center says the carnival is a way to thank the community, staff, and families who have been part of the center’s journey over the last ten years, and to remind local kids and families that healing is always possible.
