Sioux Center, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Community Health Partners of Sioux County is offering free flu shots for livestock workers in partnership with Sioux Center Health through funding from Iowa’s Preparedness and Response Grant program.

The initiative originally focused on employees of businesses that partner with Community Health Partners, but this year it has been expanded to include anyone who farms or works with livestock. Community Health Services Director Terry Bos says the goal is to make the program available to more people in agriculture.

Bos says the clinic is designed to be stress-free and convenient for participants.

Flu vaccinations will be offered Tuesday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Sioux Center Health’s Occupational Health Department, located next to ViBella’s.
