Orange City, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Orange City’s Dollar Fresh store is transitioning into a full-service Hy-Vee supermarket under the leadership of longtime resident and store manager Angela Halstad.

Dollar Fresh to Hy-Vee

The store opened five years ago as a Dollar Fresh location focused on providing low prices and fresh products. The transition to a Hy-Vee store will add service departments including a bakery, butcher counter, and expanded health-related offerings.

Halstad says customer satisfaction and product quality remain at the heart of the store’s mission.

Grand Opening

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday to celebrate the transition.

Customers will find a fully stocked bakery and a custom meat counter where specific cuts can be prepared upon request.

To celebrate with the community, Hy-Vee plans to host a family event on Saturday, Oct. 10th. Activities will include a bounce house, face painting, balloon art by Ditzy the Twister, and grilled food provided by a vendor from Le Mars.
