Last (hopefully) UPDATE:
As of 3:40 p.m., all KIWA stations appear to be back on the air, and everything is back to normal. Again, thank you for your patience!
2nd UPDATE:
As of 2:35 p.m., engineers continue to work on our audio chain issues. Classic Hits KIWA-FM is back on the air on 105.3. (You can still listen online too). However, KIWA AM 1550 is NOT on the air in any capacity at this time. We hope to have it back up soon. Thank you for your patience!
1st UPDATE:
Power has been restored to the KIWA studios, but we are now experiencing audio chain difficulties, possibly due to the power surge. Our signals remain silent. However, one thing that IS working is the KIWA-FM stream. Click here (and then click the play button) to listen online. This works on your computer, phone, or any other internet-connected device with audio. You can also ask Alexa to “Play KIWA-FM.”
Original message:
There is currently a power outage in Sheldon, and all of our stations are off the air. We are also experiencing generator issues, so our backup power is also unavailable. This affects all three of our signals — Classic Hits 105.3 KIWA-FM and All-Talk AM 1550 (also on translator K264CW at 100.7 FM).
Please be patient. We will be back on the air as soon as power is restored.
