Sanborn, Iowa — The Sanborn Fire Department also responded to a combine fire on Wednesday.
Sanborn Chief Randy Lyman reports the fire was in the 3300 mile of Oriole Avenue, which is four miles west and a mile south of Sanborn.
He says this fire could have been much worse. An overheated bearing gets the blame. He says it started a pile of bean dust on fire, but the combine was not damaged. No injuries were reported, and firefighters made quick work of the fire.
