Talk of the Town Podcast for May 4th

Today’s Talk of the Town podcast features our guest, Wally Wolthuizen, talking about the Sheldon Avenue of Flags.

Here is today’s Talk of the Town Podcast……

About thirty volunteers are needed each time the Avenue of Flags is displayed, to set them up in the morning and retire then at the end of the day. The next display of the Sheldon Avenue of Flags will be on Saturday, May 16th in observance of Armed Forces Day. If you can help, please meet by the shed on the east side of the Sheldon City Park at 7:00 am on the morning of the 16th to place the flags, and again at 5:30 that afternoon to help retire the flags.

Dates for display of the Avenue of Flags for this year will be: May 16th (Armed Forces Day), May 23rd through 25th (Memorial Day Weekend), June 14th and 15th (Flag Day, July 3rd and 4th (Independence Day), September 5th through 7th (Labor Day Weekend. and September 11th (Patriot’s Day).

Talk of the Town can be heard live at 8:30 am each Monday through Friday on KIWA-FM 105.3, and as a podcast at kiwaradio.com.
