(KIWA Staff Photo)East Lansing, Michigan (RI) — Today we continue our 18-team Big Ten Preview with a look at Michigan State, now led by College Football Hall of Famer Pat Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald made a name for himself both as a player and coach at Northwestern near his hometown of Chicago — a storybook tale that didn’t end the way he hoped. Now he takes over in East Lansing, bringing two Big Ten West titles from his time with the Wildcats. Fitzgerald said he didn’t hesitate when Michigan State offered him the job.
Fitzgerald and the Spartans open the season Friday night, September 4th, at home against Toledo.
