Head coach P.J. Fleck enters his tenth season in Minneapolis with two big-bodied, big-named anchors to rely on — Anthony Smith on the defensive line and Greg Johnson up front on offense. Fleck says the two have pushed each other all offseason and continue to make each other better.
Fleck and the Golden Gophers open the season tomorrow night, at home against Eastern Illinois.
