The Dordt Defender men’s golf team finished fourth at the two-day Mount Marty Invite which completed play on Tuesday, August 31. The Defenders shot a 312-309=621 for the event and were nipped by Northeast Community College with a 616 for third place. Dakota Wesleyan came from fourth place after day one to win the event with a second day total of 276 to score a 597.
Dordt was led by Freddy Bullock’s 72 on day two for a two-day total of 146 which was good for runner-up medalist honors. Dutch Farr was a late addition to the lineup and shot a 73 in his first collegiate round. The individual medalist was Cade Carpenter from Dakota Wesleyan with a 79-64=143.
